Similarily country houses, cater for people wanting the even more popular Banff weekend breaks. Where the style of operation may be more informal and relaxed, providing breakfasts and evening meals by arrangement. Then there are farmhouses, essentially bed & breakfast style accommodation and favoured by children of all ages.
Banff inns, are fully licensed establishments open to non-residents with facilities and services similar to those provided in hotels. Food and beverages are usually a major part of the operation.
Generally located on the outskirts of towns and cities, Banff motels are ideally suitable for motorists and the like. Especially, business people and commercial travellers.
Non serviced accommodation consist of different types, cottages, apartments, log cabins, chalets & caravans. Sometimes referred to as self catering or holiday accommodation.
Budget hotels or as sometimes referred to as boutique hotels are somewhat limited in the facilities on offer but, often present excellent value for money. At the other end of the scale there are luxury hotels or 5 star hotels and these generally provide a very high standard of hotel accommodation.
